The most popular options for shower floors are ceramic, stone and glass tiles, due to their waterproofing capabilities. But practicality (such as slip resistance and floor sloping) is not the only thing you have to keep in mind.
A walk-in shower can be the more economically and environmentally friendly choice. The average 8-minute shower consumes approximately 62 litres of hot water, compared to the 80 litres of a regular bath. This difference can have a considerable impact on a household’s water usage, especially in regions where water/rainfall is scarce.
