Quality stone and wooden worktops are the standard choices for the country style kitchen. Should you pick stone, avoid options too bold or shiny, as these generally don’t go too well with the rustic look. Granite, for example, can style up a country kitchen perfectly if it’s in a natural shade like brown or cream, but avoid black.
For a really special kitchen aesthetic, the finishing touches need to be really beautiful. A statement tap here, some fabulous cabinet handles there and suddenly, a pretty new kitchen is transformed into a pretty unforgettable space. Even something as simple as gorgeous splashback tiles will add a whole new dimension of class and style to a room, so having a little contingency in the budget for fancy finishing touches is a brilliant idea.
